HOWLAND ä Express car wash chain, ModWash, is building a 4,526 square foot car wash next to the Aldi grocery store on Niles Cortland Road.

Further north on Niles Cortland Road, Advanced Dermatology is building a 10,227 square foot office on the site of the former Cheer Time Athletics facility.

Hutton Warren OH ST LLC, a subsidiary of the Chattanooga, Tenn., Hutton-based commercial real estate development company, purchased 3.5 acres at 2505 Niles Cortland Road SE from Randy S. and Carolyn J. Wyand for $ 550,000 in June, according to the Trumbull Office of the External Auditor.

Dan Morgan, zoning administrator for Howland, said Hutton obtained his zoning permit in July.

ModWash also bought a property in Austintown in the former Skate Zone family fun center on Mahoning Avenue; in Liberty at the old West Fork Steakhouse on Belmont Avenue; and Boardman, a former office building on Boardman Poland Road for development in the Mahoning Valley.

ModWash’s website also shows that it is building a car wash in Salem.

Hutton has also developed Family Dollar stores in Warren and Cortland.

On Niles Cortland Road, near Old Orchard Road SE, Warren Retail Management LLC purchased 0.06 acres from Cheer Time Athletics Corp. for $ 575,000 in August, according to the auditor’s office. The zoning permit for the building was issued on October 6, Morgan said.

Cheer Time Athletics Corp., which bought the land in September 2011 for $ 225,000, according to the auditor’s office, is now at 5115 Youngstown Warren Road, according to its website.

In addition, according to Morgan, North Eastwood LLC is clearing land near Hiram Place Drive SE and Niles Cortland Road SE near Coates Car Care Express for a stormwater pond to market the land in the future.

North Eastwood LLC is a subsidiary of Cafaro Company, owner / operator of Eastwood Shopping Center.
